The Adventures of Sarkon and Grüshnag is a collaborative effort from 2 long-time friends with Dungeons and Dragons-esque characters made back in our college days.
Sarkon and Grüshnag were characters that came to life from a tabletop/storytelling game in the spirit of Dungeons and Dragons but set in the world of Lord of the Rings, albeit with some creative additions of our own.
Wade is the creator of Sarkon.
“I’d basically say that I’m a huge nerd. I love fantasy works like the Lord of the Rings and the Sword of Shannara series. I really tried to have Sarkon come across as an elf that also has some of my more quirky traits such as being a know-it-all and being truly fascinated with learning new things all the time. I really feel that this makes Sarkon a character that is really easier to write yet has some depth. Kind of like a stereotype with a twist. My hope is that this series really gives us the opportunity to really have fun with some very interesting characters and show off some creativity.”
Jacob is the creator of Grüshnag.
“Greetings fellow adventurers! Welcome to the little nook that is all about the creators of Grüshnag and Sarkon. My name is Jacob but most call me Cooper and I am the creator of Grüshnag, the white orc Uruk-Hai. I had a desire to make a character completely opposite of myself. That is tall, brutish, and very uncharismatic. I myself am quite average in height and a nerd or geek as some might say and am quite proud of that. I love fantasy worlds such as Lord of the Rings, World of Warcraft (For the Horde!), and of course the beloved Elder Scrolls universe. My inspiration for Grüshnag was a mix between Lord of the Rings orcs and Elder Scrolls Orsimer. They are intelligent enough to be civil and understand the world around them yet brutish enough that most issues always come down to swinging the closest weapon it can find. I am exceptionally excited to connect with Wade again and bring back a passion project that we love and hope you will enjoy reading and commenting on as much as we enjoy writing it together.”
Together we have made the traditional fantasy of Sarkon and Grüshnag to tell a story and have fun.
